My painting with CGR had a starting point in a flowering from my burnt out shell of a self (cue moaning violin) as a ‘next step’ from some previous next steps I had taken, pulled down a path toward what I enjoy and further away from the regular routine of my life and plans.
In the hobby-world of miniatures, I stumbled over something again, The Heart of a TIN MAN, I don’t know if it is an addiction or a kind of passion –Smite me oh powerful Dwarf Lord by thunderous FIST for the passion is tOo StroNGgggg (fade out)- but in a final surrender to it all I not only found myself regaining control over my creative direction in life, a feeling on being on to something good, competitive, and so full in its contributions from so many artistic expressions: sculpture, writing, drawing, painting, game design, mold-making/casting, on and on + add strategy and tactics/player skill.
It is such a great hobby to be involved in, good company in life. Let it be sent out on this page, too, a deep thank out to the patrons/clients of CGR, it is a short rope between you and the sweet ham on my dinner plate tonight! Mmmhmmm. I now only hope to one day see a great army given color by my brush take the championship on an expansive, felted and fiery of battle. Let the dice roll!!
